What are employee benefits?
Employee benefits are a method used to motivate people in the workplace. It’s a way to show employees appreciation for their hard work and commitment to their job roles. Employee benefits are also to inspire and encourage workers to achieve their goals.
Types of benefits:
- Pension - Workplace pensions are a legal requirement, and can be the more expensive work benefits.
- Risk benefits and healthcare - This includes sick pay, vouchers (clothing, gym, health etc)
- Holidays - Employees have a specific amount of paid annual holidays which is a legal requirement.
- Other benefits - This can be company cars, where a workplace provides a car for their employees that need it for their job roles or to get to work. Other benefits can also be additional benefits from the company such as free food or discounts etc.
