What is Unfair Dismissal?
- An unfair dismissal can be shown when a company terminates an employee's job position/ contract without giving a fair explanation. This is called an unfair dismissal. It can also be known as an unlawful dismissal.
- Another terminology that someone can use to describe unfair dismissal is unfair redundancy. However, the official employment law term is unfair dismissal.
A worker/employee tribunal (some organisation accidentally call this an unfair dismissal tribunal) will discover a dismissal unreasonable if you dismissed an employee for one of the reasons listed below:
- A reason that can be said to be automatically unfair.
- Without following a fair dismissal process.
